Dr. Hashim graduated from Université de Montpellier School of Dentistry in Montpellier, France. He later attended New York University of Dentistry and received a post graduate degree. He attended Albert Einstein’s continuing dental education in periodontal surgery and has continued his education in Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJD). Dr. Hashim has been in practice for over 30 years in Manhattan and the Hudson Valley. He enjoys treating patients for full mouth rehabilitation as well as resolving the pain, tinnitus (ringing in the ears) and headaches due to TMJD.
Work Days: Tuesday – Friday and Saturday by appointment
With extensive knowledge of general, cosmetic and implant dentistry, Dr. Reuven Sherman is uniquely qualified to carry on the Elite Dental Group’s tradition of excellence in dentistry.
Dr. Sherman graduated Magna Cum Laude from Yeshiva University with a B.A. in Psychology. His passion for dentistry, lead him to Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine where he received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery. He completed his residency program at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York where he was able to treat a diverse population of patients with a variety of dental conditions. He has performed extensive cosmetic procedures and thoroughly studied the science of implant restorative techniques.
Dr. Sherman has also participated in the “Give Kids a Smile” program, which is a local dental education program for public school children in grades K-5. As a natural educator, he tutors and mentors many pre-dental students from all around the Northeast.
Since dentistry is a rapidly evolving field, Dr. Sherman continuously strives to educate himself and expand his dental knowledge base. He is known for his caring and compassionate attitude as well as his refreshing sense of humor, making dental visits with him an all-around positive experience.
Dr. Sherman is a member of the American Dental Association as well as an active member of the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. He is currently trained in Basic Life Support, as well as Advanced Cardiac Life Support by the American Heart Association. Dr. Sherman currently lives in Englewood, NJ, with his wife Mollie, who works as an Occupational Therapist.

Dr. Lee completed his undergraduate education at Brigham Young University. He then attended Loma Linda University Dental School in Southern California and graduated in 2001. Dr. Lee spent several years practicing general dentistry, but focused on endodontic treatments. In July of 2013, he was accepted into the endodontic residency program at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, now known as NYU Langone.
Dr. Lee provides specialized care for patients when their restorative dental needs require treatment of the soft issue or “pulp” of the tooth. Dr. Lee is skilled with providing an advanced endodontic microsurgery called an apicoectomy, or a “root end surgery.”
In addition to Dr. Lee’s broad dental experience, he speaks Spanish, Korean, and English to better serve our patients. We are proud of the extensive experience and passion that Dr. Lee brings to his specialty and we are happy that he’s part of our team.
Orthodontics is NOT just about straight teeth and a decent bite. Dr. Newaz is best known for centering his practice of orthodontics and dentistry to whole-body wellness, and for recognizing that details of the teeth, jaws, jaw joints (TMJ), and face are directly connected to overall health and can offer many clues to health problems. Understanding that the teeth and jaws are part of the structural framework within which the airway can fit and function, and that airway health, breathing, and sleep are central to life and well-being, he is deeply invested in implementing treatment methods that protect or improve the airway, and also works with other professionals (physicians, dentists, surgeons, physical therapists, myofunctional and speech therapists, nutrition counselors, behavior counselors, and many more) as a team to ensure that you or your child receive well-rounded approach to diagnosis and treatment under his care.
